The 8th Annual UCI Fashion Show was held by the student-run Fashion Interest Group on May 27. Five designers competed to win a partial scholarship to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.

UC Irvine's Fashion Interest Group was formed in 2007 by undergraduate students and is a completely student-run organization on campus. Currently, the group has twelve students on the board of executives that assist in keeping fashion interest alive at UCI. The students not only contribute their designs but also are a part of an organization that exhibits skills involved with modeling, hair and makeup, marketing, social media, event planning, and photography/videography.
